SayItOnTheWeb was established in Roanoke, Virginia by David Stanfill in 1996, when the commercial web was still in its infancy.
Since then, the technology behind websites has changed dramatically, but the reason businesses need them hasn’t: customers need an easy way to understand who you are, what you offer and why they should choose you.
Over the years, SayItOnTheWeb has grown beyond website design into custom website programming, WordPress development search engine optimization, Local SEO, AI Visibility, ecommerce, managed hosting services , branding and digital marketing.
That broader experience allows David and his team to look at a company’s online presence as a connected system rather than a collection of unrelated services.

Meet David Stanfill, Owner of SayItOnTheWeb
I founded SayItOnTheWeb in 1996 with a focus on helping businesses use the web to grow, compete and connect with their customers. Since then, I’ve worked directly with businesses and organizations on website design, web development, search engine optimization, ecommerce, digital marketing and ongoing website support.
One of the things that makes SayItOnTheWeb different is that clients aren’t simply handed off after a website is launched. I remain directly involved in understanding what a client needs, identifying opportunities, solving website and marketing problems, and helping improve the site as the business grows.
My work combines the creative and technical sides of the web. That can mean designing or rebuilding a website, developing custom WordPress functionality, improving search visibility, troubleshooting technical problems, strengthening local SEO, improving conversions, or finding practical ways to use newer technologies such as AI to help a business compete online.
After working with the web since 1996, I’ve seen technologies, search engines and marketing strategies change dramatically. The underlying goal has remained the same: build something useful that helps the client’s business succeed.
