Ms. Harris has been involved in pageantry since 1993 and has had the opportunity to hold various titles throughout the state. Since 1993, Millie has competed, judged and produced pageants, holding 10 titles herself. In addition to her pageant experience, Ms. Harris is a former promotional model for del Corral Model and Talent Agency in New Orleans. She has worked for companies such as Magic Casino, Chiquita Banana, ABC, and Anheuser-Busch. Professionally, Millie is the Executive Director for the Jefferson Chamber Foundation Academy and works to help reform public education in Jefferson Parish. Her company, Sky Productions includes staff  Emcee, Anne Katherine Lene`(Miss LA USA 2002 and Mrs. LA US 2009) and Adam Faulk, Production Director.
